PPF vs ceramic coating: which should you get?
What each one does
Paint protection film (PPF) is a clear, self-healing film applied to the paint. It absorbs stone chips, light scratches and scuffs. The film takes the damage instead of the paint.
Ceramic coating is a liquid coating that bonds to the paint. It does not stop stone chips — it makes the surface slicker, so dirt and water slide off, and it slows UV fading.

Which should you get?
- Get PPF if you drive on motorways, gravel roads or city streets with loose debris — anywhere the front of the car takes hits.
- Get ceramic coating if you want easier cleaning and gloss, and your car does not face heavy road debris.
- Many owners do both: PPF on the front bumper, bonnet and mirrors, ceramic coating over the rest.
