How to check whether an accessory fits your car

Where fitment is shown

Every product page at DMR shows a fitment line. It says one of three things:

• Fits: all cars — a universal accessory (phone mounts, general cleaning products, seat covers in standard sizes).
• Fits: [brand] — designed for that brand's lineup, not for other brands.
• Fits: [model] (years) — made for that specific model and model years.

The three-step check

1. Open the product page and read the fitment line.
2. Open the Shop by Car picker, select your brand and model, and compare the year range.
3. If your model year falls outside the listed range, the part may not line up — pick the brand-wide or universal option instead.

Common mistakes

• Assuming a mat for "Honda Civic 2016–2020" will fit a 2015 model. It may not — check the years.
• Buying a generation-specific part without checking the year range. The interior changed between generations.
• Forgetting that universal products fit everywhere by design, so fitment is not a concern.
